Hi Laura, tell us where you are from and how you got into photography?
I'm French and I've lived in France ever since I was born. But I'm not planning on staying here my whole life! I started taking photographs when I borrowed my dad's camera which was a digital Lumix.

How would you describe your work?
Innocent, filled with dreams, natural and uncluttered.

What does a typical shoot look like for you? Are you very organized going into it or let the shoot run it's course?
I don't have a precise idea of a perfect shoot. I prefer for it to take place outside and with natural lighting. First of all, I want it to be fun and to be a place where we share things. I am not very organized, I only plan the outfits I want to shoot. I like for things to feel and be natural.

What do you normally shoot with?
I use a Nikon D3000 that's about 4 years old, but that's good enough for now.

Do you prefer digital or film? What film do you usually shoot with?
I like both. What I love about shooting digital is tweaking the pictures for hours on my computer until I get that gut feeling and stop. When I'm on vacation, I like to use a disposable camera, I just love the way it looks. For a while, I used to shoot with a Polaroid camera too. I've never really gotten into film yet, but I'm sure one day I will.

Who are some of your influences in photography?
David Hamilton, Sofia Coppola, Alasdair Mclellan, Petra Collins, Grace Dennis and lots of music videos and movies as well.

Name one photographer that our viewers should check out.
Ryan Thomas Keny.

What are some of your goals in photography?
Creating an atmosphere, a light that will shine from each photograph and show what inspired me in that precise moment. I try to instinctively capture moments and enhance them using lighting, angles and colors.

Is there anyone in particular or client your would like to shoot with?
Leonard Knight at Salvation Mountain.

When you are shooting is there a general message you are looking to communicate?
My pictures are the answer to a state of mind I have during that exact moment. I try to transcribe my emotions and feelings.

What do you have planned in the near future?
My head is filled with dreams and projects. Next year, I plan to move to Paris and carry on with my studies, or London to work for a while. But what I mostly want to do is travel as much as possible with a camera in my hand

Thanks Laura!
